This installation was created during my studying at British Highr School of Art and Design (Moscow). The project is called Talking Canary and explores new media. The real canary bird was placed in the cage, made of old Mac Pro case. One side of this case was replaced with the cut out aluminium panel. Also there was a microphone inside the cage. When the bird was tweeting, the signal from microphone was retranslated via specific software tool into the text. So that the bird's song was actually translated into a 'bird's language'. Those tweets was sent to the bird's Twitter account.

You could  check them out at https://twitter.com/talking_canary

The installation was placed at the students exhibition. The bird's Twitter feed was updated in real time and projected on the wall.

The project was made in collaboration with Nikolay Vasilyev (programming) and Grigory Cheretov (design).
